As a Catholic school, Holy Spirit Catholic College offers programs that educate students in an holistic manner. Opportunities for the spiritual, intellectual and social development of students are made available for every student.

Choir and Band

Students of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to join the College band and choir. The College choir and band allows students the opportunity to develop and showcase their musical talents.

Debating and Public Speaking

Holy Spirit Catholic College places a high value on the skills of Public Speaking and Debating. Debating and Public Speaking build self confidence and develop the student's speaking ability. All Holy Spirit College students are encouraged to participate in Debating and Public Speaking.

Representative Sports

The College is a member of the CBSA (Boys) and SCC (Girls) Sport Associations. All students have the opportunity to trial for representative teams in these Associations across a wide variety of sports, such as Athletics, Aussie Rules, Baseball, Basketball, Chess, Cricket, Cross-Country, Dance, Football, Golf, Netball, Rugby League & Union, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball.

Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh is an award scheme offered at Holy Spirit College to students 14 years and over. The program is a non-competitive personal challenge. It offers students the opportunity to grow personally, connect with others, and discover their potential through a range of experiences.

There are three award levels that students work to obtain - Bronze, Silver and Gold. Students start the scheme at the Bronze level.

The activities in the program cover four components. These are:

  • Service / Volunteering

  • Skill Development

  • Physical Recreation

  • Adventure Journey
